Meet The Teacher
I’m Miranda! I’m a 20 something 5th year TEACHER, JESUS lover, blogger, TPTer, creator, lover of COFFEE and candles, and a FRIEND. I am excited that you are joining me!
I’m a Tennessean – born and raised! I received both my undergrad (Elem Ed PreK-6) and masters’ (Teaching and Learning) degrees from Union University. I taught PreK for one year and moved to 1st grade and fell in LOVE! First grade is such a fun age – we are still so curious and want to learn, yet we can take ownership and responsibility. And y’all – I teach the funniest kids on the planet. They keep me laughing! My school is the bomb dot com. We have wonderful students, great parent support, and I absolutely adore my coworkers.
I am very blessed to be living in a city with some great friends! We get together twice a week to share meals – I love our community that we have created! I also am active in my church and am involved with a ministry that reaches out to inner city students. These kiddos give me so much more that I give them.
I come from a HUGE family. My mom is a teacher of over thirty years, so teaching is in my blood. She’s a great help! One of my grandmothers was a teacher for many years, too! Another grandmother taught Sunday School to first graders for over 10 years! I am so blessed to come from a very supportive family who keeps me going.
I’m excited to see where this little blog takes me! I’ve gotten so many tips and tricks from other teachers online and now it’s my turn to share! Learning from other teachers has truly made me a better teacher. Already active on Instagram (check out #msjacksonsfirsties), Pintrest, and Twitter, I’m diving head first by joining the TPT world! Find me under "MirandaLaRayne" under in these platforms. I’m also a proud Teach Happy Member!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I’m glad you are here! :)
